7 H&M Tops We All Need

So I usually style my look from the feet up -building my look around the shoes I plan on wearing that day. After deciding what heels or sneakers to wear I move on to the pants or shorts I want to wear. This post was inspired by what happens next - what top to wear?!!!! This step gets me every time! So down below I linked seven tops just in case you guys struggle like me.

What do you guys struggle with when getting dressed?!

Be Willing To Learn What You Already Know

A thought that I'm always sure to keep in mind is always be willing to learn what you already know. If you're great at fixing cars learn more. If you're good at drawing learn how to perfect the areas you lack in. If you're good at styling and have an eye for fashion -learn more! It's always a great time to further your skills.

I'm currently rebranding myself from head to toe, inside and out. I want to be sure I'm on my P's and Q's and dot my I's and cross those T's honey! I want to be one of the best at what I do (I say one of the best because I'm humble and fully aware that there's always someone that has a bit more enff then you...and that's quite alright!)

Knowledge and wisdom to me are key no matter what you are doing in life. So I'm currently burying myself in fashion magazines and watching runway shows online. I think in the fashion world you need to be mentally and visually aware.

So always be sure to further your genius guys!

SEE YOU AT THE TOP!

My New Obsession: Slacks

Slacks also known as my new obsession are slowly but surely filling up my closet. Slacks are one of the many things I'm adding to my collection so I can switch my style up a bit. I want to style these babies with sneakers as well as loafers and heels of course. They can be paired up top with the norm - a blouse or sweater. Or styled with a crew neck t-shirt half tucked in half out.

Do you love slacks as much as I do?!

Odd Pairings

As you may know by now my most favorite thing to do is pair pieces that doesn't go together. Down below I styled two looks with an "odd" pair of shoes. I decided to style Doc Martens with a dress and a pair of suit pants and a blouse with a pair of Nike sneakers. That's what I love about style -the freedom to do what we please without all the rules!

Re- branding!

For about a year or so I've had issues with styling an outfit. I couldn't figure out what to put together. I became very bored of what was in my closet, tired of looking at the same pieces. I thought it was me losing my touch in fashion and I tried figuring out how to get my touch back. About a week ago I learned that it wasn't that I lost my touch in fashion but it was time to Rebrand. It was time for me to switch things up, time for me to get more creative, and it was definitely time for me to dress like I'm 30 years of age. It's time to start over!

When you've been doing something the same way for years sometimes we need to take a step back and look at ourselves and what we're doing and start from scratch. For me starting from scratch means taking notes, finding inspiration, and shopping of course!

When you're on a budget as I am we have to make sure we shop Smart. I made a list of the things that I definitely need when it comes to pants, shirts, purses, hats, jewellery and colors of course. I'm staying away from trends and drawing near to simply expressing myself through my style.

I'm super excited about the new me, excited about where I'm going to take my style and where my style will take me. I'm also planning on changing my hair. As much as I love my short hair I feel like I need to switch it up some. But my short hair will probably never be permanently gone -but a change is always necessary.

I plan on making this change next month I'll see you guys there.

Inspiration: The Company You Keep

I was invited to have brunch today with some very lovely ladies at Gloria's restaurant. The more they spoke about what they're doing in life I realized that I was at the table with the right people. On my way home I begin thinking -surround yourself with people on the same road as you. Of course we all have detours here and there, we all have our personal life, but we're trying to get somewhere -we're trying to be someone. That's the type of company I want! The people you surround yourself with will 9 times out of 10 become your outcome in life. Having friends that dream/hope and also work hard is setting me up for my future. Don't forget to be supportive of your friends and Associates not just inspired.

Since this is a blog post about my brunch experience today let's toast to the company we keep.

Have a blessed night.

Reebok x Nike

Thursday already? Yay! No plans for the weekend I'm just happy its almost time for me to rest. I honestly would love to watch Sex And The City and drink wine all weekend. Lazy weekends are always a great idea!

When it comes to running a few errands I'm reaching in my closet for my most comfy clothes aka a t-shirt, loose pair of shorts and slip on a pair of shoes. I styled this look around my mint green loose fitting shorts - serving as my pop of color (which is always a good idea)

I love styling pieces that doesn't go together -in my case a Reebok tee paired with Nike slides. I don't know why I love pairing opposites but sometimes it just works. Style is all about having fun and wearing whatever the heck you want to wear!

What random pieces do you like to pair together?

New In

Picked up a few new things to share with you guys - some new and some a repeat.

Over the weekend I went to H&M to pick up a couple things that I needed -one being jeans! Something you can never have too many pairs of in every shape and size. I've had my eyes on these distressed ankle jeans for quite sometime now and finally was able to get my hands on a pair (can't wait to style them).

Am I the only one who loves buying new hair products?! New products literally make you want to wash your hair (and lets be real who really wants to wash their hair? I'll wait...) But the feeling of going to the store and buying new hair care products, then coming home and sitting everything on the bathroom counter is such a great feeling (don't judge me haha!) I've tried a few Shea Moisture products and loved them so I thought I'd give their hair mask a try especially on my damaged areas!

If you haven't tried Garnier's Micellar water I literally don't know where you've been honey! It does an awesome job of taking your makeup off without scrubbing away skin cells! I love, love, love! Make sure you give it a try -its inexpensive magic in a bottle!

And last but certainly not least Maybelline's Fit Me Foundation! Affordable, perfect for oily skin and full coverage? Yes please! I love this stuff! I'm running low on my MAC foundation and wanted to give another brand a try. Heard lots of good reviews on the Fit Me foundation so I decided to give it a go. Glad I did!

What new products have you tried? Which is your favorite?!

Styling ALDO'S Keshaa Heels

Yesterday called for a bit of retail therapy at the new H&M store that finally opened at the mall closest to my house. My mission while shopping was to find pieces that I really lacked in my wardrobe. So I was on a hunt for a nice pair of jeans and a top - and surprisingly I found both! After shopping I wanted to get dressed up for dinner at one of my favorite restaurants - 'Winewood Grill'. There's quiet a few things to choose from on their menu but I decided to go with the rack of lamb with a side of mashed potatoes (perfection).

I paired my new ALDO heels with a pair of shorts and a loose fitting Givenchy blouse. Check out my look down below.

How was your weekend?

How To Turn Heads Last Minute

Last minute dinner dates with the girls, hubby, family, etc. is slightly irritating to me. As much as I love a good date last minute doesn't work for me -I'm sort of forced to make it work. When I'm invited somewhere last minute I immediately run to plug the iron in and start brainstorming the vibe I want to give for the night.

As frustrating as it is I honestly think that's when we are our most stylish when in a rush! We are forced to grab different pieces and make them work by adding or simply taking away. When I have more time on my hands I tend to over think when getting dressed and hate my look in the end. So I have a love hate relationship with the whole last minute thing. LOL!

Down below is a rushed look that I put together without giving much thought. Let me know your thoughts down below.

Styling: Nike Air Force 1

One of the many things I want to do in fashion is style pieces I'm not a fan of or wouldn't normally wear just to show my point of view on that particular piece.

The Air Force 1 is a very popular shoe and has been for many many years now. The last time I wore a pair of forces was back in the 8th grade (I'm 27)  -I just lost taste for the shoe.

While doing a bit of retail therapy I came across the low top black and white AF1 and actually loved them and couldn't wait to style them!

Shop my look down below!

How do you feel about the Nike Air Force 1?
