Saturday Inspiration

I have a very bad habit of walking by people without speaking not to be mean or anything -half the time I'm in my own little world or just focused on where I'm going. A man once told me "it doesn't cost you anything to speak." I couldn't agree more!

I believe you should always leave people smiling. Speaking may help them with whatever they're dealing with. A simple hello or how are you could do the trick. Always keep in mind to be kind to others no matter how you feel, what you're doing, if you know them or not. Its not about us but the people we cross paths with.

It's simple... just give a hello.

My New Record Player!!

~

Hello my beautiful people! I am currently snowed/iced in so today I'm just chilling watching movies, playing Xbox, watching a bit of T.V, working on my book and of course some blogging.

~

Last week I went on a search for a record player. I've been wanting one for the longest and finally got my hands on one! First I went to Bed Bath & Beyond who wanted to order one and have it to me in ten days... um yeah no! I wanted one now! Wal-Mart didn't carry them so to Target I went and......Yahtzee! I went with black to match the black and white theme of my room (thinking about making it mostly white).

Took a trip later on that day to the Container Store to pick up a couple of crates to keep my records in. (and can I just say that store is amazing!) I found some black crates and a few aisles over saw this pretty little file basket and went with that instead!

Here are some of the records I picked up...

New In

Hey hey y'all! Now I don't know if I have any readers living in Texas but this weather we're experiencing is a hot mess! I hope everyone is safe up North, Texas, heck everywhere! I don't know what's wrong with mother nature but she better get it together!

~

I've been doing a bit of shopping here and there picking up a few things I don't really need! I was in Wal-Mart getting groceries before the big storm and ran into this face & body bar by Neutrogena with Avocado and Olive Oil that helps with cleansing/conditioning. I pick up most of my candles from Wal-Mart so I grabbed this Mainstays 'Wild Honeysuckle' and it smells "ah-may-za-zing!" It has a very soft scent of flowers and you guessed it HONEY. A few days ago I went to Target in search of a record player and found this lovely mug "MUGLIFE" ....being a gangster / mug lover I just had to have it (lol at the thought of me being a gangster!) Last but not least Aunt Jackie's 'Curl La La' defining curl custard. I'm currently using Paul Mitchell 'Curls' and wanted to try something new. I'll do a review on Paul some time this week.

Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!

New In | Review | Ulta

~

Hey guys! I was originally supposed to post this, give the products a try, thendo a review. But here we are a three in one. Last week I went to Ulta to pick up a few things.....

First I ran into this pretty purple bottle of body cleanser by Anatomicals that I've had my eye on for a while now and decided it was time for it to come on home. This Love & Toast  lip balm was just too cute and on sale for 5 buckaroos. I've been on Nateisha Monique's blog and saw her Essie collection and decided to buy my own in Cashmere Matte! Last but certainly not least this looooovely NYX lip liner in Rose Diaphane aka nude pink. Not much but I could go in ULTA and get one thing and be satisfied lol!

Valentine's Dinner: 'Savor'

Kojo and I had dinner at 'Savor' again and of course it was delicious. We ordered Braised Short Ribs and aged Mac -n- Cheese. The meat was so tender... oh how I adore this place. Seriously my favorite restaurant!

Say hello to the best thing you'll ever eat.... 'Lobster Puffs'! I was introduced to these babies on my birthday (November 24th) and have been addicted ever sense! They are stuffed with Maine lobster, comte cheese and if I'm not mistaken the spread is remoulade. It literally melts in your mouth! I could eat these everyday.... ok I think you get the point. If you have 'Savor' where you live please try these.. if not look on every menu of every restaurant you go to. YOU HAVE TO TRY THESE!!

The walk back to the car called for Converse... preferably red. *Check out my 'OOTD: Valentine's Day' post to see what heels I wore to dinner*

Kojo beating his new friend in Ping Pong!

So as I said in my last post KoJo and I went to Woodall Rodgers Park (Klyde Warren Park) to keep busy until our 10 P.M reservation. This was our first time visiting this park and boy did we have a blast! There's tons of things to do -ping pong, croquet, putting green, fitness, football, dog park, concerts, camping area, and even a reading area! To top it off there's food trucks there's lots to do to keep you busy and I can't wait to go back! Its located on both sides of one of the best restaurants in Dallas 'Savor'. 'Savor' and the food trucks aren't the only places to pig out there's tons of places to dine in the area. If you want to leave the park for awhile and take in the area there's DallasMuseum of Art, AT&T Performing Arts Center, Meyerson Symphony Center, Dallas World Aquarium, The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, and more!!! If you're ever in Dallas please visit Klyde Warren Park you will not be disappointed!
