What I got for Christmas!

Back to work today after a much needed Christmas break! Just like everyone else in the world I was over it and couldn't wait to clock out before I even clocked in! It was a very easy day but still it was work. Any way today I had breakfast at Starbuck's with a co-worker, went to the mall to pick up a few things, ate lunch at Chick Fil A with KoJo and back home to watch movies and be lazy. What did you do today?
Here's a few things I got from Santa this year...
1. 'Nude' by Rihanna (my absolute favorite parfume)
2. E.L.F brush cleaner
3. 'Shea Sugar Scrub' by Tree Hut
4. E.L.F small stipple brush
Have you tried any of these products?
What did you get for Christmas?!

The Mixing of Prints

 Merry Christmas everyone!

I'm just sitting here watching the Christmas Day Parade, listening to Andra Day's album, and blogging obvs. I woke up around 7:30 a.m to open my gifts at my mom's place then we drove over to my house so she could open hers. I can't wait until basketball comes on later --sports during the Holidays are the BEST! Mom's in the kitchen cooking food while I'm getting my Amy Winehouse fix through the breath of fresh air that is Ms. Andra Day.

Here's a look at my Outfit of The Day (O.O.T.D)..

Mixing prints is one of my favorite go to's in fashion. I do believe there's a right and wrong way to mix prints. In my opinion the key is to go with prints that compliment one another. Tan and burgundy, green and tan, pink and burgundy, etc.

I hope you all are having the best Christmas ever! Put all your worries aside and enjoy this day and your loved ones. Have a blessed one guys.

Motivation | Work Hard

What I've learned after participating in Vlogmas while running a blog, working, and balancing my personal life is this is hard as ....

There's seriously not enough hours in the day. Working nonstop this week (because of Christmas). Trying to make sure I get enough rest after work and reminding myself after you post on your blog start coming up with new content! This has been a struggle for me. BUT the Londen Sloan show MUST and I mean MUST go on!

If it's hard than you must be doing something right. "If it's easy I don't want it."

Being a blogger will force you to work hard and put in time. It will force you into a business woman/man and as difficult as it is I love it! I've become disciplined and more creative. I'm slowly but surely becoming the woman I'm supposed to be. I'm still learning and enjoying every step!

Think of something you want to accomplish before the end of the year. Let's end 2015 with a bang!

Shout out to all the bloggers out there, you are all an inspiration. Oh and a big shout out to Doni Brown!

To: Me From: Me

All I do is save, save, save I never really buy myself anything. So I decided to pick out a few gifts for myself while Christmas shopping. Oh and speaking of shopping I'm nowhere near done! I plan on finishing up this Friday --wish me luck! I honestly feel so rushed this year. Christmas is literally around the corner! Next year I'm going to start shopping early, October early! If that doesn't give me enough time then I don't know what will?! Ok back to the gift I bought myself....

The Targus Grypton Pro XL Flexible Tripod. So Korey and I were on our way to the mall on a Sunday around 9 a.m (totally forgetting it was Sunday). So we took a little detour to Target because the mall wasn't open. I wanted to go to electronics to pick out my next camera (Vlogging camera) and this crazy looking Tripod caught my eye. It was only about 30 dollars and it hasn't disappointed yet! It wraps around poles, easy for on the go and it's sturdy - - holds my Canon Rebel T3 with no problem.

What Christmas gifts have you bought for yourself? Have you opened them?!

New In

First of all salute to those running a blog and a YouTube channel(s)! So I decided since I love watching Vlogmas on YouTube why not participate in my own this year?! Now I don't post everyday as most do, I upload every three or four days. I'll be the first to admit I just don't have that much fun activities going on in my life lol! As much as it's a lot of work editing footage it is also fun! It sort of hit me yesterday that I'm not balancing my Blog and my YouTube channel. On here I try to make sure I post every three days and it's been five since my last post...yeah major issue, major issue!

Sorry guys!

So just like the rest of the world I've been doing some Christmas shopping and bought things that I didn't necessarily need but shrugged it off and threw it in the basket. I've been to Wal-Mart more than I should lately browsing every isle and looking at all the Christmas decorations! Here's a few thing's I picked up along the way....

1) Makeup Remover: Garnier Micellar Cleaning Water (removes makeup + cleanses + soothes -no rinsing)

2) Magazine - 'Instyle': the gift guide issue

3) Juice: Organic Mamma Chia Strawberry Lemonade (chia vitality beverage)

Have you tried this makeup remover? How about this natural strawberry lemonade?!

Diamonds Are Forever

Day 3 'Four Christmases' starring Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn. Day one and two were 'Home Alone' 1 and 2. I'm still super excited about Christmas but I don't want it to go by too fast, so I'm trying to stay calm! Oh yesterday I bought a 2 foot Christmas Yoda from Wal-Mart --and he's such a cutie. Did some Christmas shopping with my mom, picked up a couple things ending our day with dinner at Chick Fil A. The temperature has been a low of 34 and a high of 60 lol gotta love it! Back 2 Black

Sitting here with my mom listening to Christmas songs, can you believe tomorrow is December 1st?! This year is really flying by it was just Halloween like yesterday! Tomorrow is the beginning of my 25 days of Christmas movies! I'll be starting off with 'Home Alone' pt. 1 of course --with a side of Hot CoCo! I'll probably be starting my movies at 5 p.m seeing that it gets dark so early this time of year, I think 5 is the perfect time.
Also this week I think I'll start my 2016 Goals and things I want to accomplish before the year ends. I want my goals to be realistic yet somewhat hard --because it'll force me to work hard for the things I want.
Am I the only one who loves a clean house during this time of year?! Well, I always keep my home clean (OCD) but during the holidays is just a must for me! The only area that's in need of attention in my home is my room. Clothes, shoes, more clothes. more shoes everywhere! I'm really starting to get on my own nerves! But that's what a Lookbook will do to your room.
I'm so ready for Vlogmas on YouTube! Am I the only one watching Vlogmas from last year? My favorite Vloggers are SamathaMariaVlogs, GraceFVictory and my new favs are the GlamTwinzTV --how do you say adorable?!
Here's a look at my current Lookbook on YouTube..
Grey and black are pretty popular this year, decided to add a bit of color with my copper heels.

Orange Is The New Black

Here's one of the looks from my 'Winter Lookbook' on YouTube, giving you guys an idea of what looks I'll be wearing this Fall. I love watching "lookbooks" on YouTube and decided to give it a go myself.

I try to stay away from pairing orange and black together, but that title of the popular Netflix series made it O.K in my book. I have a love for solid colored outfits --It turns you in to a walking fashion statement. This look is really a look for less --mixing thrifted pieces with retail.

Happy Birthday To Me! | 27

I'm 27 today!

I am blessed and thank God for allowing me to live to see yet another year! I am grateful for all that I've lost, learned, and gained. How does it feel to be 27? A bit wiser, driven, closer to God, and old. Lol I kid, I kid. The older I get the more I've become aware of what I want in life, where I want to be, and how to get there.

My mother is a constant reminder of why I work hard --to please her is at the top of my list. To utter the words "look mama we made it!" Making her proud is a MUST! So spending my entire day filming YouTube videos, giving myself a headache thinking of blog content, remaining humble asking people for help, and also figuring things out myself ---is all worth it!

I try to keep in mind to enjoy this moment. Enjoying every little moment from coloring to traveling. For this life is extremely short! I keep my mind of my dreams and the things I want to accomplish in life BUT I make sure that's not all I keep my mind on. Don't get so wrapped up in where you want to be that you lose sight of where you are now. No dream is worth missing this moment --whatever this moment may be in your life.

Something I've always kept in mind.. In a row of Dominoes --keep God at the front. You first seek God, everything else will fall in to place.

Sunday Inspiration

You cannot get wasted time back. Once you sit around and do nothing, roam one end of social media to the other --liking pictures, commenting, sitting on the couch letting time pass you by, you look up and it's bedtime. Set goals the night before and check them off one by one the next day. It slipped my mind yesterday to figure out what I wanted to accomplish today, but when this happens to you jot done a few things and get er done. Now there's nothing wrong with showing love on social media --it's necessary at times. All I'm saying is don't spend all of your time online liking pictures, spend your time wisely. Surround yourself with people who inspire you, follow those on social media who are an inspiration, and motivate yourself. When you mess up correct those flaws, learn from them and put in hard work.

Do what you have to do today to get you closer to your dreams tomorrow!

Christmas: Gift Guide

Christmas music non stop, stockings are hanging from the fireplace, and my tree is sitting in front of the picture window, with two battery operated candles on each side. I'm so excited! Am I the only one?! I've bought gifts already and bought an ugly Christmas sweater for myself! Now I just need the rain to stop so I can put up my lights!

Thought I'd write a post on different gifts to buy your loved ones for Christmas. I always draw a blank this time of year on gifts to give. If you're like me, here's a few ideas!  (Click name of items for a direct link to store)

A cute little wine set for a girls night in. The perfect gift for a girlfriend with a bottle of her favorite wine.

I've always loved coloring so the idea of an adult coloring book caught my eye. I think this would be the best gift to give to that friend/family member that's in need of some me time.

The thought of having all of our pictures online is such a problem to me. The days when we'd run to get mom's photo album to show people our pictures --oh how I miss! Now we run to our phones and log in to social media! *Rolls eyes*

-Chroma Tin Candle - $20.00
Am I the only one that's obsessed with candles?!  I'd actually love to get candles for Christmas! A relaxing gift and it smells good...winning!

-Handsome Hands - $33.00
Do you have a brother, boyfriend, dad, or friend that's in need of a bit of attention to his hands? This Handsome Hands kit is perfect!
-Strapback Hat - $35.00
A good strapback hat is always a good idea for guy or girl!
-Watch - $75.00
I think every man should invest in a good watch! Our taste is much better than theirs so why not gift a stylish watch for the man in your life.
Eye shadow (depending on the size) is a great stocking stuffer! Just drop this pallet in first then throw some candy on top just to surprise her!
-Copper Mug - $8.90
Know anyone who loves tea, coffee, or a good ol'  Moscow Mule?! The perfect mug and it's preeeeeeety!

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!"

What are you doing to prepare for Christmas?  Is your tree up yet?!

Friday The 13th

As excited as I am about the Holiday's I've been into black on black lately! The all black look will always be apart of my wardrobe --when in doubt wear black!

Today I did a bit of grocery and Christmas shopping and spent time with my mom of course. Yesterday she came by my house and helped me put up my Christmas tree and decorations while listening to Christmas music. I filmed a vlog of my day so be sure to check that out on YouTube. (Search: londen sloan)

I'm so ready for my Christmas movie countdown --Home Alone, Christmas With The Kranks, Jingle All The Way, etc., etc.! I'm ready to get all of my Christmas shopping out of the way before all the madness before black Friday!  I'm ready not to take part in any black Friday sales. To sit on my couch and watch the craziness on the news. I love the feel of the holiday --I think I'm the happiest person in the world right now!

What's your favorite thing about to holidays?!

Morticia & Gomez Addams (My Birthday Brunch)

Hey hey y'all! So my burf'day (birthday) is November 24th but I decided to celebrate a little early just to avoid any unexpected weather that may occur. So my family and I  went to my favorite restaurant 'Savor'. 'Savor' is located in Dallas on Woodall Rodgers Freeway and I recommend everyone give it a visit.

KoJo and I decided to channel our version of Morticia and Gomez Addams for my brunch celebration....

I made reservations for noon so around 11:15 a.m we were on our way. Traffic in Dallas is what many call a hot mess but going that early in the day made for a smooth ride. We grooved to old school music the entire ride arriving to valet (which is always appropriate for your birthday), made our way inside and were seated immediately. I started off with my all time favorite, Lobster Puffs!

Isn't she lovely?!

My heart, my best friend, the best blessing ever, the strongest woman I know...my beautiful mommy! She went out and bought a new outfit for my, yes MY birthday.... basically she slayed!

Biscuits w/ Strawberry Jam!
Lobster Puffs!
Sloppy Joe Grilled Cheese made with short ribs with a side of fries and cole slaw.

"The Glass Box" a.k.a 'Savor'
Loved his look..had to get a picture!
